Volcanoes National Park is one of the small numbers of conservation areas in the Virunga Volcanoes that harbors the rare mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in this tropical montane natural forest is part of the excellent world class wildlife meetings that are not found anywhere in the world. You will go gorilla tracking – search for the gorillas in their natural habitats with the help of the ranger guide, On encounter of the gorillas , you will have an hour staring at these dying out creatures, a superb and cherished life time experience!
RWANDA GORILLA SAFARI ITINERARY
DAY 1: ARRIVE & DRIVE TO VOLCANOES GORILLA PARK
A guide from AA Safaris and Tours limited will meet with you , brief you and drive you to Kigali, the capital of Rwanda. You will be briefed about your Rwanda Gorilla safari then depart for Parc Nationale des Volcanoes. The voyage to the north passes through the gorgeous terraced hillsides that display much of Rwanda’s landscape, slowly move down to the bottom of the breathtaking Virunga volcanoes; at times five peaks can be sighted. DAY 2: RWANDA GORILLA TRACKING IN PARC DES VOLCANOS
You will have to take breakfast before your representative from AA safaris and tours ltd picks you up from your lodge to escort you to the starting point of ORTPN . You will be briefed by the ranger guides and allocated families to trek gorillas. Start the trek in search for gorilla tracking in Parc National des Volcans. Trekking the gorillas in the light mountain forest on the slopes of the Virungas is a wonderful experience. Chances of seeing gorillas while are guaranteed if only you are Physically fit though the trek may be strenuous . On encounter , you will take an hour with them, and return to the lodge. The time taken to trek gorillas is unpredictable so you are advised to carry your packed lunch for a picnic lunch just in case the trek takes longer . It may take 3-10 hour. Gorilla trekking takes longer in wet seasons especially when the terrain becomes muddy . Have dinner and overnight at your Lodge (FB).
DAY 3: ANOTHER GORILLA TRACKING & RWANDA COMMUNITY TOUR
Rise up early and take breakfast, afterwards you will proceed and start another gorilla tracking expedition in Parc National des Volcans. The experiences are never the same for each is more interesting . You are likely to see what you missed finding the day before. On encounter of the gorillas, you will spend an hour with them –a paranormal experience . Return to the lodge . If you still have time , you will visit the Ross Carr’s orphanage, interact with the local school and community projects. Return for dinner and overnight at your lodge.
Day 4: Kigali City Tour
Have breakfast and leave for Kigali. Drive and take part in an amazing City tour which includes visiting the market, a pottery project, handicraft shops, the Franco-Rwandan cultural centre and the genocide memorial. Enjoy your lunch on the way and relax in the afternoon. Dinner and over night at ;
