Bwindi Gorilla Safari - 3 Days Gorilla Watching Safari in Uganda
Day 1: leave for Bwindi Impenetrable national Park Gorilla Tour
Drive from Kampala by road and continue south-West in about 8-10hrs drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park which is famously referred to as the home for Mountain Gorillas, in the park the Montane Forest also create interest for spectacular birds of which, there are 23 of the 24 Albertine Rift endemics plus the African Green Broadbill, Bar Tailed Trogon and other gorgeous forest species. You will take a mall stop at the Equator for an enlightening talk plus a photographic chance. We will afterwards proceed to Mbarara where were we will take a lunch break.
Your journey will take you via Uganda undulating green hills via the highlands, also renowned as the ‘Switzerland of Uganda’ prior to making the last journey to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, habitat of the mountain gorilla. That night you will slumber to the sounds of the mountain rainforest. Overnight at Gorilla Resort Safari Lodge/Buhoma Community Bandas.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
On this day, you will have to rise up very early to prepare your self for the most stimulating activity of Gorilla tracking. Go to the ranger station at 8:00am with your lunch boxes and all the required gear where the guides will lead you to track the extraordinary Mountain Gorilla, possibly one of the most exhilarating wildlife experiences on earth. There are currently only almost 700 still existing in the world! The tracking is likely to take between 2 and 6 hours but its glowing worth the attempt. There are oftenly park guides with you who explain about the flora and fauna and the way of life of the Gorillas. In the afternoon rest at the camp or in case you are not so tied, participate in a guided village walk to interact with the indigenous Batwa Community. Go back to the Camp in the evening. Overnight at Gorilla Resort Safari Lodge/Buhoma Community Bandas.
End of the Gorilla Trek
Day 3: travel back to Kampala
After a morning breakfast, we will leave Bwindi Impenetrable National Park and drive back to Kampala make a journey break for lunch reaching in the early evening.
