Uganda advised to restore national airline
The government of Uganda has been advised to restore the national airline if it will control the opportunities the tourism sector provides.
Mr. David Mpango Kakuba, the Deputy Managing Director of Uganda’s Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) said a national carrier will help the country get a centre and a way to promote her tourism attractions. Airlines cannot advertise Uganda’s tourism attractions on their flights but will be advertising their own attractions so a national airline will market the sector.
He said they have advised the government that the sector cannot successively market tourism only if they have a national airline.
